Our backgrounds in visual arts have inspired our research into oxidation and patinas as distinct surface treatments. The patina process uses metal as a canvas to accelerate the natural oxidation of the material. The results capture the fluid and ephemeral transformation of the material surface, creating organic living finishes remniscent of color field paintings.
